the beauty of fall
I love fall. For me the season kind of brings everything together. It marks a picturesque transition to winter, heralding a blessed family time for Thanksgiving and the Christmas season.
Fall is aesthetically the most pleasing seasons (in my opinion!) and that’s why I love to photograph the warmth and golden color of nature. The changing color of trees, crunchy fallen leaves and the cool crisp air are some of the reasons why I adore this time of the year.
According to Merriam-Webster, another definition of fall is the later part of someone’s life or existence. But I like the definition of the fall season in biblical context. Autumn harvest falls in the seventh month of God’s calendar where it marks the beginning of an agricultural year of farming and harvesting. The seventh month in Hebrew is “Tishrei” which means “to begin”.
Since I’m starting a new business journey for Lilies of the Field Photography and the fact that this is my first blog post, I think it’s interesting to point out how fitting it is to launch my new venture in this season.
This picture was taken on a hike of Tehachapi Mountain Park, CA.
To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.
